Hoppy Easter! Really though, no matter what your spiritual affiliation is this is a special time of year. Winter is gone and spring has arrived, and the changing season is bringing life and warm days back to world. Thank your card recipients for bringing light into your own life, and send them wishes for a beautiful and invigorating spring. Images of fluffy chicks and baby bunnies help too, of course.
There are so many ways to bring a fresh spring touch to your Easter card designs. Step one is choosing a color palette. Pastels are an obvious choice, but this season is also full of bright and striking alternatives. Once you decide on your color scheme, open a template or blank canvas with Shutterstock Create and start customizing. Change the template colors to match your scheme, add your own images and photographs, and try out different fonts to see what suits your ideas. Finish off your custom design with text that you and the card recipient find meaningful. Check that your Easter card design is exactly how you want it, then download to print or send via email or social media (you can share directly from the Create editor!).
3D Easter cards really pop, and kids will love to help you make them. One easy way to make a 3D card is to fold colorful tissue paper in the shape of a chick or Easter egg (or bunny, if you're ambitious) and glue to the inner fold of the card. When your recipient opens the card, they'll be greeted by a brightly-colored baby chick. Or, print a pre-designed Easter card template with an egg design and bling out the egg's pattern with stick-on gems or hand-sewn beads. Adding texture with glued feathers or dried spring flowers is another kid-friendly way to decorate a 3D Easter card. Let nature be your biggest inspiration this season.
