Latin America, US aim to take joint action against migration crisis, Panamá, PA - 20 Apr 2022
Foreign ministers from countries in the Americas, including US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, began their two-day meeting in Panama City on Tuesday to coordinate solutions to the continent's migration problem and tackle the challenge of corruption. The growing flow of migration in Latin America, much of it headed for US territory, has prompted officials to convene the second regional meeting on migration, less than a year after the first, which was held in Colombia in Oct. 2021 and attended by some 20 countries.
