Any type of card sent out for an event would classify as an event card. Common event cards sent out before an event include announcements, invitations, save the dates, and RSVP cards. Event cards can also be used during the event—for example, as place cards, mini event programs, or safety/emergency contact cards. And then after an event, you can send out event cards to say thanks, follow up with attendees, or offer some kind of sale.
It depends on the purpose of the event card. If you’re announcing an event, then you’ll want to include all the relevant details for potential attendees: time, date, location, RSVP, dress code, cost, etc. If you’re sending out event cards as a thank you, then a thoughtful message (and maybe some photos from the event!) would be a great touch. It’s up to you! Any event that requires an RSVP could benefit from an event card, which not only formalizes the announcement of the event but also gives potential guests the necessary information to RSVP and attend. Events such as weddings, galas, graduations are all perfect candidates for event cards. At the same time, you can also make casual events feel fancier or more fun by sending out an event card! Why not send one for a birthday party or luncheon?
